The Dundee Mountain Film Festival is the UK’s longest continuous running mountain film festival. It showcases an international programme of speakers, as well as award winning films and exhibitions, mainly held in the Bonar Hall, Dundee. We will also have a full supporting exhibition of art, photography, trade and voluntary organisations stands and displays. Come and enjoy this unforgettable opportunity to see, hear, and experience outstanding stories of courage, adventure, and exploration. The festival in 2016 will be held on 24 - 26 November
We invite potential sponsors to discuss participation in our exciting film festival. You can download a sponsorship pack here.
29 November 2015: The film
"And Then We Swam" was voted by our audience as their
favourite film, the "People's Choice". Congratulations to Ben
Finney, the Director, from us all, and thanks for allowing us
to show the film. You can download the film from

Book Launch at Dundee
Dundee author Alan Rowan's debut mountain book focussed on climbing the Munros after midnight and sitting on the summits to watch the sun rise as an antidote to working long, unsociable hours. The new book picks up where Moonwalker left off, and charts the next ten years as Alan tries to 'compleat' the Corbetts in similar fashion while also taking in a second round of Munros.
There's more moonwalking and more sunrises, more madness and more mayhem, as the nocturnal chase gathers pace in a series of adventures that will pull you through a welter of emotions. Passionate, poignant, funny and surreal, it's everything you would want from a mountain book, so come along and meet the author and grab the opportunity to get your copy at this exclusive launch.
