People's Choice 2007
The audience voted Asiemut the Best Film for 2007, with Patagonia - A Travel to the End of the World in second place and First Ascent - Didier Versus the Cobra in third place.
International Alliance For Mountain Film
During the 2007 festival, Dundee hosted a meeting of the International Alliance for Mountain Film. This included delegates from Europe, Canada and New Mexico.
About the Festival
The first Dundee Mountain Film Festival (DMFF), a one-evening event, was staged to raise funds for building the bridge at Bachnagairn in memory of our friend Roy Tait, a member of the Grampian Club and Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. We just carried on, a fitting tribute to one we loved and admired.
Come and join us
We invite potential sponsors to discuss participation in our exciting film festival. We would also welcome approaches from film makers wishing to consider using the Dundee Mountain Film Festival as a showcase for their films, but we do not have a film competition. We often have representatives from other film festivals and film makers attending the DMFF.
